“Perfectionism and fear of failure are leading contributors to girls’ withdrawal from sport and leadership opportunities - both linked to lower self-esteem and confidence.”
— Australian Institute of Sport, Women Leaders in Sport Study (2023)

We’re Kaarle and Abbey, sisters and co-founders of The EmpowHER Project.
Between us, we’ve lived a lifetime in elite sport; Kaarle as an Olympian and World Champion, and Abbey as a former NSW Swifts Captain with 80 professional caps. But more than our achievements, it’s the lessons we learned along the way - resilience, courage, leadership, and self-belief - that inspired this project.

We created The EmpowHER Project because we believe every girl deserves to feel confident, capable, and powerful in her own skin. Through our own journeys, we’ve seen what happens when girls are supported, encouraged, and surrounded by positive role models - they grow, they rise, and they discover strengths they never knew they had.

Together, we’ve built this project to be more than a program.
It’s a movement.
A community.
A space where girls feel seen, heard, valued, and inspired.

With our combined experience in high-performance sport, leadership, education, and youth development, we’ve poured our passion into creating workshops that spark confidence, ignite potential, and celebrate authenticity. We’re here to help girls back themselves, step into who they are, and realise just how unstoppable they can be.
This is The EmpowHER Project - and together, we’re empowering the next generation of strong, resilient, confident young women.

A practical, interactive session designed to help girls and women build self-belief from the inside out. Through real stories, reflection, and action-based tools, participants learn how to quiet self-doubt, back themselves, and grow genuine confidence in all aspects of life.

A high-energy, growth-focused experience that challenges participants to raise their standards and chase their best — not through perfection, but through purpose, effort, and resilience. It’s about progress, not pressure — and learning how to show up with intent every day.
A space to drop the mask and embrace what makes you, you. Through guided conversation and storytelling, participants learn how to lead with honesty, vulnerability, and courage — because being real is your greatest strength.

This session is all about discovering your voice, owning your story, and realising your power to influence and lead. Participants explore what empowerment truly means, learning how to take ownership of their journey and lift others along the way.

We created EmpowHer Project because we’ve lived what it feels like to doubt yourself — to chase perfection, to push through pressure, and to question whether you’re enough.
Through years in elite sport and education, we discovered that confidence isn’t something you’re born with — it’s something you build.

EmpowHer is our way of helping girls and women do just that.
We wanted to create a space that’s real, supportive, and inspiring — where stories, experiences, and learning come together to help every participant grow with confidence, connection, and courage.
To empower girls, young women, and future leaders with the confidence, skills, and mindset to thrive — through education, storytelling, and authentic connection inspired by our lived experiences in sport and life.

A world where every girl and woman feels seen, supported, and capable of leading boldly — grounded in confidence, guided by authenticity, and connected by community.
